SIMILARITY ANALYSES OF COMPRESSIBLE BOUNDARY LAYER FLOWS VIA GROUP THEORY. (1998)

Abstract
Based upon methods developed by Michal, Morgan, Birkhoff, and the present authors, the utility of mathematical groups of transformations for the purpose of achieving a reduction in the number of independent variables in a particular class of two dimensional, unsteady, compressible boundary layer flows is further investigated. In particular, previous presentations due to Gabbert, Ames, and Manohar are discussed, clarified, and extended. (Author)
