| SIMILARITY ANALYSES OF COMPRESSIBLE BOUNDARY LAYER FLOWS VIA GROUP THEORY. (1998) | |||||||||
Abstract | |||||||||
| Based upon methods developed by Michal, Morgan, Birkhoff, and the present authors, the utility of mathematical groups of transformations for the purpose of achieving a reduction in the number of independent variables in a particular class of two dimensional, unsteady, compressible boundary layer flows is further investigated. In particular, previous presentations due to Gabbert, Ames, and Manohar are discussed, clarified, and extended. (Author) | |||||||||
