Investigation on Molybdenum and Titanium Disilicide As Structural Materials for Highest Temperatures. (1998)

Abstract
High temperature hardness and bond strength of pure and single phase disilicides are greater than those of metallic Ni base alloys; ductile transition occurs at 90 C; mechanical properties are improved by adding a second phase alloy like an oxide, nitride, or carbide which increases grain boundary strength.
