CO2-Excited Langmuir Turbulence in a Dense Plasma Focus. (2002)

Abstract
A report is made on ruby-laser scattering measurements of Langmuir turbulence excited in a high-density plasma by a CO2 laser pump. The observations can be explained by a new treatment of the convective electron-ion decay instability at equal temperatures.
