DE1004048721 A UPAB: 20060526 NOVELTY - In apparatus for measuring and regulating the viscosity of liquids (A), having a device (3) for determining the viscosity (and/or correlated parameter(s)) of a portion (5) of (A) and a regulator (4) for the temperature of the portion, the difference between the measured viscosity (and/or correlated parameter(s)) of the portion and a reference value is determined, the temperature of the portion is controlled utilizing the determined difference and the temperature regulator (4) includes a device for producing an electromagnetic field. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a corresponding viscosity measuring and regulating process. USE - For shaping melts, especially for shaping glass, particularly for producing hollow glass, crude glass and/or glass fibers. ADVANTAGE - The viscosity of molten glass during production is determined with high precision. A homogeneous drop temperature, within narrow limits, and a constant drop viscosity can be maintained.
