Abstract | |||||||||
| The self-sustaining coverage of the huge and steadily increasing world energy-demand is one of the main tasks in the near future. A large contribution could be afford by solar thermal power plants in sun-belt countries. This renewable energy technology can reach electricity costs below 15 Euro ct/kWh depending on scale and location. A new line focussing collector based on the fresnel-principle was developed by the Belgian company Solarmundo, which is very promising to lead to lower LEC. | |||||||||
