| Comprehensive air quality plans are currently under development in order to reduce anthropogenic sources of the PM10-concentration dependent on the current load. The overall aim is to exceed limit values as seldom as possible. However, the impact of meteorological conditions on the effect of those control measures remains largely unexplained so far. This article demonstrates the large-scale and long-term impact of meteorological conditions on PM10-immissions. It is of importance to take notice of this fact in order to realize effective potentials for the reduction of the PM10 load, to initiate proper actions in time and in an area of adequate dimensions. | |||||||||
