It contains a number of parallel rods (33) that are combined by means of a connection arrangement to form a planar structure. The rods have stabilizing cavities along at least part of their length or are in the form of hollow profiles. USE - For splinter protection for a building facade, in particularly for protection against terrorist attacks.
