| Light weight machines achieve high motion dynamics in an energy efficient way, but require active damping measures due to their reduced structural damping and stiffness. In order to avoid the cost, energy consumption and possible failure of additional actuators, ISW examines, how feed drives can be used for that task. Vibration excitation is avoided by the forming of setpoint profiles, while the drives' closed loop control is augmented to actively dampen externally excited vibrations. | |||||||||||
