Abstract | |||||||||||||
| The mission of IHCP is to provide scientific support to the development and implementation of EU policies related to health and consumer protection. The IHCP carries out research to improve the understanding of potential health risks posed by chemicals, physical and biological agents from various sources to which consumers are exposed. • As a Research Institute, the IHCP contributes to the improvement of scientific knowledge on health care methods and consumer issues. • As a European Institution, the IHCP participates, at an international level and in collaboration with Member States Authorities, in R&D and regulatory actions intended to improve consumer tutelage. • As a European Commission Service, the IHCP acts as an independent advisor for the implementation of risk assessment, monitoring and validation of procedures aimed to insure EU citizens of the use of health and consumer services or products.
