Quantitative Quality Assessment of a Repository Driven User Interface (2007)

Abstract
Summary: Quality metrics need to be applied to products to assess the quality of the product and to ensure that there is a quality increase in the development of future software as a result of the metrics obtained. The Repository Driven User Interface uses a repository to obtain all of its visual and non-visual attributes or data from a central storage area. This is done to give users the ability to decide on the layout of the interface that they want to use when interacting with this software product. They have the ability to customise every aspect of the user interface by simply making changes to the repository. This makes it even more important to ensure that quality of the system is of a high standard. By using suitable metrics, the quality of the Repository Driven User Interface system has been analysed. The results gathered from the external metrics, size, duration and time metrics assessment process are discussed. 1.
