Abstract | |||||||||||||||
| An image feature is any distinguishing primitive characteristic of an image or image element. For any given application, the literature abounds with candidate image features e.g. vegetation indices and texture measures. Image feature comparisons often result in conflicting findings, and the "best " feature for a given application is highly dependent on the data set(s). This paper discusses combining various candidate image features, rather than attempting to determine which is the "best " for a particular application. It follows the fuzzy logic literature, and examines the desirable characteristics of an image feature fusion operator. | |||||||||||||||
