| Abstract Given a polynomial p in d variables and of degree n we want to nd a best L 2-approximation over the d-simplex from polynomials of degree m n. This problem is shown to be equivalent to the problem of nding the best Euclidean approximation of the Bernstein-Bezier coecients of p from the space of degree-raised Bernstein-Bezier coecients of polynomials of degree m. 1 | |||||||||||||||
